recommend a smaller diameter race steering wheel for e30 m3?`

Decided to get rid of the OEM m-tech steering wheel. It is so big; I feel like i'm navigating a cruiseliner. For a car smaller than a VW GTI, I don't understand why BMW decided to put a steering wheel meant for a vehicle the size of a suburban.

Regardless, I am going to swap out the wheel for a much smaller diameter race wheel. I run one on my e36 m3 and I love it . Anyone have a recommendation for a really nice quality wheel that feels good and fits the e30 well. Also, looking to not break the bank on one. Thanks.

pics would also be really helpful!

my car is a 1990 m3 and did originally come equipped with an airbag (I believe). the car currently has an airbag-less M-tech1 wheel. I only mention it because the steering column might be different and require a different wheel than most e30s. I don't know for sure.

I like the simple Momo 3 spoke wheels. 350-360 range, not to small and comfortable to drive with.

I also like the Tech II wheel but it's only 370mm so reduction is not that much.

I like momo + adapter but decided to stay oem+ with the leather 370mm m tech 2. It's the perfect size without blocking any gauges.

I have the momo mod78, absolutely love it. I'm 6'1" and use a 1" spacer (in addition to the hub) and it fits me perfectly.

I use a Momo Monte Carlo. I think it's 320mm, feels great. Blocks the top of the gauges, but I'm tall and I've also dropped the steering column for a more comfortable driving position with my fixed-back seat. Probably not terrible with stock seats and average height.

Don't think so, every stock car I have see has had a 385mm wheel.

320mm Momo Monte Carlo and with a 1" spacer it does not block the dials, without the spacer the top of the dials are obstructed.

I prefer the feel of the Momo over the 360mm Nardi Blackline I used to run.

I run a 350mm wheel and it's perfect for me. I feel like wheels smaller than that are awkward.

Agreed. Your arms end up being squeezed ins lightly. Just not as natural a body position.

I have an older Nardi Classic, 360mm. I don't autocross but spend a good bit of time on road courses. I love the size and wouldn't go any smaller. I'll send pics soon.
